The Blurb

Ray could charm his way out of, through or around any situation. He certainly had always been able to get his way around meuntil now."

Although Tory's delighted that Ray is - at long last - showing interest in their daughter Lucy, no amount of charm will convince her to allow him access to her until he's cleaned up his act.

But evidently Ray doesn't want to wait that long - soon afterwards, Tory gets a panic-stricken call from Lucy's childminder, Carol. Carol frantically relates how Ray has snatched Lucy from her, and worse, he's threatened he'll harm Lucy if Tory follows him.

Despite that warning Tory knows she has to find Lucy - but is she putting the little girl's life at risk by doing so? Would Ray really hurt their beautiful daughter? At least she's not alone in her search: Connor, Ray's ex-landlord, was clearly touched by her despair and offered to help get her daughter back.

But after being so cruelly betrayed already, how can she trust him? Is there some other reason behind his kindness?

And above all: will she find Lucy safely?

The Reviews

  • A great book to pass an afternoon with, not overly intricate but it was enjoyable. The characters were vbrant and I reawlly became involved in the story. I have passed this book on since and friends have enjoyed this book a lot more than me, so I owuld give it a recommendation based on others' reactions to the book. 8/10
  • I felt this book would translate very well to television or filkm. I've read the same sort of story a few times but it didn't take away from this book. It's well put together and easy to read. It's a book that I think will have a long shelf life. 7/10
  • A quick entertaining booking to read. I fully enjoyed the characters and the story line, it had depth and heart and I was left really satisfied by the ending. I definitely have become a fan of Tracy Culleton after this book; I hope to read many more of her books in the near future. 8/10
  • Nicely written, with a great descriptive edge, the plot was well developed and it had many angles to the story which kept me interested throughout the book. I would have liked a few more surprises along the way, but that's just a personal view. Overall it was a great book. 9/10
