Writing Coach
I offer you my services as a Writing Coach - the fiction writers' mentor promised in the website name.
This service differs from my critique service in that the
critique service is really only for the finished product. When you've made your manuscript as perfect as you can,
then the critique is good. But to get it to that point, the Writing Coach service is the one for you.
You'll have somebody to metaphorically hold your hand as you go through the process of writing your novel. You
can send me some of your work that you're not happy with and I'll go through it and pinpoint the problems and give
you some suggestions as to solutions.
Or we can talk about some ideas you might have that you want to talk through.
We can do it by e-mail or by phone. The cost includes the cost of me phoning you anywhere in the world.
The process will work better if you have a specific question. Even: "This story isn't going right, and I don't
know why." But you need to know what you want to get out of the coaching for it to be any good.
Sometimes the issue isn't with the work, it's with you - i.e. your confidence maybe, or you're blocked and don't
know why, and I can help with that too!
Please note that I do NOT offer the sort of coaching that makes you accountable to me, where I'll be on your
case if you haven't met a deadline. You're an adult, and you're responsible for your own experience. If you're
blocked, sort it out with me and then write joyfully!
I charge €45.00 per hour, and you can use that hour in as many small slices as you want. So if it's a quick five
minute query, that's how much is taken from your 'credit'.
To book an hour's coaching (which can be used in as many slices as you like) just click here:
I look forward to working with you and helping you to make your novel be the best it can possibly be.
Tracy
Here's what David F had to say about his experience receiving coaching from me:
|
“
Working with Tracy helped me improve an aspect of my writing that I
wasn’t happy with – handling conflict between characters. Without any any false praise
(or BS!) – and completely avoiding melodrama – Tracy was able not only to show me where
and why a particular scene was letting itself down, but how an author can tighten up
and enliven a scene, while staying true to their individual writers
voice.
